Sadie's First Thanksgiving and More Hendins!

We spent Thanksgiving again this year at the home of Cousins David & Jeannie with a whole slew of excellent people (many of them Hendins).   David's son Ben and his wife Chrissy were there with their 9 month old daughter Ariella and there was another couple with a one year old girl as well.  So it was pretty much an afternoon of adoring pretty baby girls.  It was an excellent Thanksgiving!!

Here are some pix - sadly I didn't get pix of everyone with Sadie, but I got quite a lot of good photos of Sadie with Cousin Mitten (Carol) and with Jeannie, so that is good.

Four Months!! (posted a little late)

We took these on Nov 14, Sadie's 4 month birthday, but then we waited to post them because we hadn't gotten around to posting her 3 month birthday photos.  So, now, here they are -- just in case you were worried she had skipped right over 4 months.

The only problem is that we keep waiting until evening to shoot the pix and as a result we get her at her spaciest, which is still pretty charming.

These pictures just make me happy.
Sadie has been standing up for about two months now. She still can't balance, but it is amazing to me how much she wants to stand. It seems to be the very first thing she has made clear she wants to do herself. She seems so small and then she stands up with one of us to lean against and all of a sudden she is a little person. It is just awesome.

Catching Up

Yes, these are out of date, but I wanted to post them before Jonathan posts the 4 month pictures, just to keep some illusion of order.  Since this photo with Jasper (who is recovered now, thanks), she has started noticing him. I wonder if she understands that he is not one of us.

Decisions, decisions!

Sadie came to visit me at work today for the first time.  In honor of her visit, I spent a few minutes out of my otherwise slow day messing around with my primitive "paint" program - I think to great effect.

My kid is a sweetie! And she gives her mother the most splendid looks. What fun!
