Our suspicions are confirmed. She's one of us.

Rainy Day!
It is raining out today, so after Shabbat singalong we went and got Sadie a new raincoat and wellies so that she can splash about in puddles. She seemed pretty happy. Apparently nobody ever told her that rainy days are supposed to be dreary.

Sadie's First Purim Carnival
Today was the big Purim carnival at Temple Beth Elohim. Obviously, we went. Sometime between my childhood and Sadie's now, Purim became Halloween for Jewish kids - which is fine I suppose, because I never really understood what it was about.
Anyway, it was good because it gave Sadie another opportunity to wear her bumblebee outfit. Don't worry though, those first few photos of her with the scowl on her face are just her practicing her angry bumblebee look. She was very happy.
She enjoyed the magic show and insisted on standing in front of the crowd to watch part of it. The Magilla reading was done to music with a jazz trio accompaniment. Sadie danced like a jazzy bee.
All in all, it was an exhausting morning. But lovely.

Coming home from seeing friends' new baby in Manhattan...in the snow, obviously.
Sadie wanted to hold her friend Kino's hand leaving school

We come to the YMCA for open play on many of these cold mornings. She clearly needs more running around time.

What a goober.

In other news, Sadie's drawing is on a whole nother level these days. She went from scribbles to totally representational little people with eyes and feet. It's amazing.

Grandma Vicki helped with the lettering. But Sadie DOES know all her letters.

She's being a much better sport than us about this whole winter thing.

Serious Winter
We have been trying not to let this cold cold winter get us down. It helps that Sadie doesn't complain about it at all.
Anyway, our little girl is becoming a big girl much too fast. Grandma Vicki can attest to that.
And look at her splendid hat!
