Kids Lately

Street fairs, face paint, summer antics commence! Here are some moments from the last couple months.

On Memorial Day weekend, we went to the beach and then to see some Marine helicopters doing a display in Prospect Park.

Maine Trip

We drove up to Maine for a long weekend. For a pretty quick trip, we sure packed a lot in. We got to spend some time with family, and did a bunch of great stuff Maine has to offer in the summer.

Storyland!

Sawyer drove a car.

Teacup Ride!

Swan boats. Sadie drove.

Wooden shoe ride.

Ice cream stop, obviously.

Stomp rockets were an excellent investment. They have these things called "yards" in Maine that are really great for just running or playing.

Grandma India took us to visit her horse Sprite.

We stopped off for a little hike on the way home. Sawyer didn't see a single rock he didn't try to climb.

Fishing trip! These photos make it look like we were out all day, but it was about 30 minutes and zero fish, but the kids' enthusiasm was undiminished. And it sure was pretty.

Grandma and Papa took Sadie canoeing on the Androscoggin. She's a natural.

And they had to stop for ice cream afterwards, obviously.

Sawyer came with me to my old stomping grounds in Waterford while Sadie was canoeing.

He takes to wide open spaces pretty well.

Grandpa Bill let Sawyer man a tractor while we watched him take the bailer for a spin. Every time it would shoot out a bail of hay into the trailer, Sawyer said "That was awesome!"

We got to visit Grandpa at work at the town office and he let us check out the fire trucks!

There were lots of early mornings for some reason.

The kids were spectacular, and the grandparents really made it a special time.
