Visiting More Old Friends - The Meadors

After or day in Ogunquit, nobody felt like going home so, instead, we continued south to Massachusetts to visit our friends the Meadors (don't worry - we called first). They welcomed us and we stayed the night at their house. 

The kids stayed up late playing together and woke up early to start again. Sadie and Theo fell right back in to the way they were when they were in preschool at CBE.

In the morning, after breakfast, we all went tubing at Butternut. 

Then to lunch at a local market. 

Then ice cream in nearby Great Barrington. 

Such a great day. We miss our friends. 

A Trip to the Shore - Ogunquit

This past Monday, December 27, 2021, the kids and I drove down to Ogunquit to see my old friend David and his husband, Eddie who were enjoying a little vacation at an Airbnb there.

We had lunch at a cafe and then went for a walk on thes Marginal Way foot path along the cliff. When the path got too icy were walked down to the snowy beach to play. It was cold but lovely. 

It was nice seeing David and Eddie for the first time in over 3 years. Last time we saw them was at their wedding when V was very pregnant with Frankie. Wow! 

Fun day! 

Shopping in Portland with Frankie!

On December 23 the big kids had their last day of school for 2021 while Frankie was already off for the year and I still needed to do a little list minute shopping.  So, Frankie and I drove down to Portland to see what we could accomplish. 

Frankie napped on the drive down and when she woke up, we were in the parking lot of the Children's Museum. She looked up and recognized it immediately and asked if she could play with the balls and water - the exhibits she most liked last time! 

After the museum, we got some lunch and cookies at a nearby market. 

We found parking in the heart of downtown Portland and Frankie waited on a bench while I fed the meter. (over a dozen quarters!)

We both liked the Christmas Tree made of old lobster traps. 

After a bit of shopping it was time for another snack. 

On our way home, we picked up Sadie and Sawyer from their after school program and we all went out for pizza in Norway, Maine. 

These two were cracking each other up all evening.  I love how well the get along (sometimes).
