Palm Springs: Aerial Tramway to San Jacinto Peak

Another splendid thing we did in Palm Springs was ride the aerial tramway to the top of Mt. San Jacinto.  It was 40 degrees colder up there and already covered in snow.  The views were amazing.
We tried to use the scenery as a backdrop for our holiday cards - included here are some of the outtakes.
What fun!

We didn't build this snowman but we gave him a face and a hairdo.

Palm Springs: The Living Desert

It has been impossibly busy since we got back from Palm Springs and I am finally getting a chance to look through all the photos we took there.  From what I can tell from the photos, we had a pretty good time out there.

On our second day out there, we visited The Living Desert, a sort of cross between a zoo an a wild animal park.  It was really nice because they didn't have any animals that seemed completely out of place and sad in the desert.

Sadie was super excited to see Cheetahs prowling and running at feeding time.

We love giraffes in our family.  Sadie is the only kid in her class who knows the onomotopoeia for the sound a giraffe makes.

This little guy seems to adore his big sister.

Oh, okay, well, what would a trip to the zoo be without a few tears.  This was quickly resolved with chocolate-dipped, cream-filled churros atop a bowl of ice cream.
More to come once I get through some more photos.  There are an awful lot.
