Our little angel is jet lagged. She seems like such a big girl all of a sudden.

ParisPost 7 - Le Sandbox Royale

Sadie's first visit to a sandbox is in the Jardins du Luxembourg. She is still trying to decide if she likes it.  Signs point to yes. 

ParisPost 6 - This little Sadie went to market

We got up early this morning and went to the open air market by the Bastille. That market is my absolute favorite place to visit in all of Paris for getting into a Paris frame of mind. They have everything imaginable to eat. It is wonderful. If it weren't just on Tuesdays and Sundays I would start every day there.
In an unusual display of foresight we decided to pick up all the ingredients for tonight's picnic-in-our-apartment dinner so after I post this I am off to make a salad.
In any case, here are a few of the items Sadie got to see at the market.

ParisPost 5 - All of Paris in a day

Yesterday (Saturday) was a long and full day. We did pretty much all the compulsories in a single day. We began our day with a crepe outside Les Halles and then went to the Louvre followed by lunch on St. Germaine and on to the Eiffel Tower, the Arc de Triomphe and home via Rue Faubourg St. Honore.
Boy oh boy, were we ever tired.

ParisPost 4 - Simon who?

Yesterday was a big art day for Sadie (and for the rest of us). We took her to the Centre Georges Pompidou where we saw a number of exhibitions as well as much of the permanent collection of modern art. But it would be fair to say that our favorite part was the major exhibition of Simon Hantai.
Simon who?
Neither Victoria nor I was familiar with him but it seems he has been
one of Sadie's favorites for almost as long as she can remember. She could barely contain her enthusiasm.
