Sawyer Sunset!

Sawyer accommodated a little photo session at our sunset dinner tonight.
After dinner, Sadie performed in a kids club show on the main stage. She danced and jumped and was great!
Tomorrow is our last day here and we'll be sad to go. But we're definitely coming back!

Mexico - Part 1

Sadie participated in the Slip-n-slide contest today and she did us proud.
Sawyer is handling his transition to the tropical environs nicely as well.
Oh, and of course Victoria
We're having a lovely time in Mexico. More to come.

These kids are right at home in the water.  Also at the dessert buffet.

I want to ride my bicycle!

I found (literally) a bike for Sadie a couple weeks ago. I spent an evening cleaning it up this past Friday night and then presented it to Sadie on Sunday.
She was thrilled, not least because it is purple, and wanted to go ride right away. I took her over to the cul de sac behind the nearby playground and we began her studies in the ancient art of toodling about.
I ran alongside holding the seat or bars or both and she smiled and pedaled vigorously. We made some good progress but we have a long way to go.  I can see this is going to be a test of her balance and determination and of my patience and lower back. I have confidence in us both.
And as a bonus, I'm also posting some other photos of my favorite people taken this past weekend.

A Trip to Whole Foods and More

Two weekends ago it was freezing. Victoria had a baby shower to go to on Sunday so I had Sadie and Sawyer for the afternoon. Happily, it turned out that, at the same time, our neighbor Alex had his kids, Natalia and Eduard all to himself. Even for modern fathers like us it seemed an awful lot to deal with having two kids each shut in on a cold, windy day.  So we sought refuge (and lunch) at Whole Foods for a couple hours.  Afterwards, we hung out at their house and the kids played dress up.
Pretty proud of how well we managed that day.

Monsters

These two. I don't know what to say.
Oh, Sadie got a haircut! Long overdue. It makes her look about 14.
