Color Coordinated!

We went to lunch at a local eatery today and, in an effort to keep Sadie quiet and occupied, I took a turn walking around outside with her while her mommy enjoyed some lunch uninterrupted.  Anyway, Sadie and I were walking down the block when, all of a sudden, she walked straight over to this doorway and stood there leaning against the door smiling. There were lots of similar doorways all down the block but only this one was perfectly matched to her outfit.  She seemed to really like this doorway.  I didn't have my phone with me or I would have taken a photo right then, but I had a hunch we'd be back.
So, after lunch, I suggested we not put her in the stroller just yet and I readied my phone camera and we strolled off down the block.  As we were approaching the special doorway I said, "watch this!" And, just like magic, Sadie turned straight toward the doorway and walked over and sat down and struck a series of splendid poses.
Our girl is pretty photogenic (both of my girls, actually).

Sleepyhead

We have for a couple months been transitioning from two naps to one nap per day. This makes it hard to make plans. Today we has to be somewhere at noon, so I woke her from her nap and she never got a second one. These pictures are from when we both started to fade around 5pm. What a pretty girl we have.

Our Schroeder in the making

I shot this a week ago and finally have a chance to post it now.  Hope you like it.

Sadie rocks Red Hook!

We were all feeling a little neighborhood fatigue today so to liven things up a bit we drove down to Red Hook and got some nice foodstuffs at Fairway (a fancy supermarket) and had a picnic lunch on the back patio of Fairway right on the Brooklyn shore of New York Harbor.  Yes - that is the Statue of Liberty in the distant background of the first and last photo.

Then, after lunch we took a walk around Red Hook.  Watch the video below to see Sadie demonstrating her exceptional walking skills.

This very morning...

She wakes up happy every day... and she keeps getting bigger.

Staying still is a lot to ask

In case anyone is wondering why we font post as many photos lately, it is mostly because staying still is a lot to ask of our little monster these days.  She is constantly moving and going and doing and in the time it takes to get our phones out and snap a picture she can up-end the dog's food bowl, get hold of some bit of home technology we thought was out of reach and scale a piece of furniture.
We try though.
